A new teaser for the upcoming baseball simulation showcases the game’s defensive and offensive features. PlayStation has released the first gameplay footage for MLB The Show 23, an upcoming baseball simulation game. Moreover, a detailed post on the official PlayStation site has divulged several game specifics.
Sony claims that defensive fielding qualities are more critical than in previous games. As a result, the gap between players with different fielding attributes will be more pronounced, and players with lower fielding attributes will have harsher transition animations when Contact is made.

The buttons and analog option for the throwing interface now emphasize the player’s Arm Accuracy stat. MLB Two new oddities, Break Outlier and Pick Off Artist, have been added to The Show 23. The break of a pitcher with the Break Outlier trait fades more slowly than that of other pitchers. An individual’s odds of making a successful pick-off increase by 50% if they have the Pick Off Artist trait.
Attacks will be fine-tuned and balanced, satisfying Casual and Simulation players alike. The new Clutch trait, which has replaced Contact, will compete with the PitcherClutch point of the pitcher.
Two new offensive quirks, Bad Ball Hitter and Table Setter are introduced. Poor Ball Hitter hitters excel at connecting with pitches out of the strike zone. Table Setter hitters do well when no runners are in scoring position.
Changes to animation systems, play styles, and swing feedback are just a few things discussed in the blog post about MLB The Show 23. The release date of MLB The Show 23 is March 28 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
