When is the Madden 24 Release Date?

Madden 24 is the newest episode in EA Sports’ long-running Madden football simulation series. Early access for those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition begins on August 15, and the game will be released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 on August 18, 2023. Josh Allen, quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, is featured on the cover of Madden 24. Allen had a career year in 2022, leading the Bills to the AFC Championship Game.

The cover athlete for Madden 24 is Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who had a breakout season in 2022, leading his team to the AFC Championship game and earning his first Pro Bowl selection. Allen is known for his strong arm, mobility, and improvisational skills.

Gameplay Changes

Madden 24 promises to deliver “foundational football” with improvements to various aspects of the game, such as:

• Wide receivers: can better catch the ball in stride without slowing down or breaking their routes. New diving catches and no-look passes will add more realism and variety to the passing game.
• Defense: New wrap tackles, scoop tackles, and Hit Stick animations will make tackling more responsive and impactful. Defenders will also be able to adjust their coverage assignments more intelligently based on the offensive formation and play call.
• Blocking: The new Tactical Blocking System will enable linemen to identify their blocking assignments more accurately and effectively, addressing one of the most common complaints from Madden players.
• Superstar mode: The fan-favorite method returns with a greater emphasis on creating and developing your own NFL athlete across an entire career. You can customize your player’s appearance, attributes, skills, and personality and interact with coaches, teammates, and fans.

The return of the fan-favorite mode lets you create your own NFL player and guide them through their entire career. Superstar mode has been improved with new features such as:

Personality System: A new system that lets you choose your player’s personality type and traits that affect their interactions with teammates, coaches, media, fans, and sponsors.

Career Hub: A new hub that lets you access all aspects of your player’s career, such as stats, awards, contracts, endorsements, social media, etc.

Legacy Score: A new score that measures your player’s impact on the NFL history and ranks them among the all-time greats.
