Well, after a delay of one and a half years from the initial date of release, the game is finally arriving. Traveler’s Tales announced the release date of the game to be 20 October 2020 On 7 May 2020. However, that was changed. Later, Traveler’s Tales updated the release date to 2021 and announced the same through the official website of the game. However, after a while, the developers had taken down the website. In April 2021, the studio announced that there would be more delays in the game. However, the studio had not defined any release window at that time.

On 25 August 2021, the makers published the second gameplay trailer of the game accompanied by the announcement that the game will be released in early 2022. 

Finally, on 20 January 2022, the makers officially announced the release date of the game accompanied by a new game Play trailer. The game will finally arrive on 5 April 2022.

The gameplay of the upcoming game will take the experience of the fans to the next level. For the first time, the game will feature all nine mainstream films. The players need not follow a linear order to get to the next story. Instead, the player will have the choice to start the game from anywhere in three Skywalker saga trilogies. They may proceed in the order they wish to proceed. 

The game will have nine episodes and each episode of the episode comprise five story missions. That means there will be 45 levels in the game to finish.

The players will get an extended map in the game. They will get completely explorable planets that have several Star Wars landmarks. The players will get many planets and moons that include Exegol, Tatooine, Kef Bir, Coruscant, Kashyyyk, Starkiller Base, Mustafar, Cantonica, Yavin 4, Endor, Dagobah, Hoth, Bespin, Jakku, Takodana, D’Qar, Utapau, Ahch-To, Crait, Ajan Kloss, Pasaana, Kijimi, Kamino, Geonosis, and Naboo.

The players will get several ships to make the exploration easy and the players may face several encounters as well.

LEGO star wars: The Skywalker Saga will be available in two editions- Standard Edition and Delux Edition.

Deluxe Edition includes interesting features like the Character Collection bundle, by which one can have six character packs based around characters from outside of the Skywalker Saga. 

The Character Collection bundle will include packs from, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: The Bad Batch  The Mandalorian, pack containing Classic C, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
