Ken Levine’s last project, Bioshock Infinite, has been coming long, but he’s finally back with a new IP from his latest studio Ghost Story Games. Judas, announced at The Game Awards, has sparked interest due to its striking similarities to the seminal Bioshock series. With all of the excitement, the question of a Judas release date is crucial.
Everything we know about Ghost Story Games’ new single-player, narrative-driven first-person shooter Judas is listed below. You’ll also get a glimpse of the unknown, bizarre world he and his team have created.
Judas Release Date
According to publisher Take-Two, Judas, the next game from BioShock creator Ken Levine, will release before March 2025.
Judas, announced during The Game Awards in December for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, is a single-player, narrative first-person shooter from Ghost Story Games, which BioShock director Ken Levine leads. A release date was not revealed at the time of the reveal, but publisher Take-Two has now narrowed the window for the game.

Judas Story
There is currently very little information on the Judas story, with only the broad outline of a ‘disintegrating starship’ and a ‘desperate escape plan’ to go on in terms of narrative.
It is known, however, that you play as Judas, a mysterious and troubled woman whose only hope of survival aboard this broken spaceship is to form or break alliances with her adversaries. The studio has also promised innovative narrative twists.
From the official reveal trailer shown at The Game Awards, Judas seems to share lots of similarities with Bioshock. Hence, we’re likely in for an intricate, twisted story with unique and exciting characters.
Furthermore, if Judas follows in the footsteps of Bioshock, the environment aboard the starship Judas finds herself on will likely feel like a character in its own right, similar to the beloved Rapture or Columbia from the developer’s previous work at Irrational Games.
The ship appears to be a luxury ship gone wrong, much like Rapture was intended to be the perfect city until it collapsed. Whatever happens in the story, Judas will undoubtedly be atmospheric.

Judas Gameplay
Judas is a first-person shooter in the vein of Bioshock and System Shock. Judas is seen in the trailer wielding various weapons, including a hammer, a shotgun, and a makeshift crossbow made of cogs and a chain. Most intriguingly, we see Judas wielding some power in her left hand while holding a firearm in the other.
According to the trailer, Judas has access to a lightning bolt and firepower, with the possibility of even more extraordinary powers. If Judas follows in the footsteps of the developer’s previous work in the immersive-sim genre, experimenting with an arsenal of inventive weapons and powers to create engaging combat encounters will be at the heart of the experience.
