The sequel to Hot Wheels Unleashed: Turbocharged has been formally announced and is scheduled for sale later this year. The first Hot Wheels Unleashed was published and developed by Milestone in 2021, and it quickly gained popularity as a racing game.
Hot Wheels Unleashed’s sequel, which has been in development for more than two years, will try to enhance the original game’s gameplay.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged was announced via a premiere trailer and will be available on October 19 for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch. In almost every way, Turbocharged will build upon what was shown in the first Hot Wheels Unleashed game.
This includes new game types, vehicles, tracks, and skills. The most significant of these new game modes will be a campaign with a story that includes four different racers and has animated cutscenes.
“Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will launch with over 130 vehicles, including the debut of motocycles and ATVs,” says an official game description.
“Along with the greater diversity of vehicles and environments, which open up more dynamic and strategic racing scenarios, drivers’ skills will be tested with the addition of two new abilities to the Unleashed series – dash and jump. Lateral dashing will allow for tactical sideswipes against opponents, obstacle dodging, and daring overturns until the finish line, while players will also be able to perform dramatic jumps anytime and anywhere.”
