Hogwarts Legacy 2: Is a Sequel in the Works?

Wow, guess what?! After the big hit of Hogwarts Legacy, it seems like they’re making another one. Someone who knows a lot about the video game industry says they’re already working on Hogwarts Legacy 2.

Hogwarts Legacy came out in February 2023, and it lets fans pretend to be a student at Hogwarts like in the Harry Potter stories.

Guess what? It looks like there might be a new game for Hogwarts Legacy fans. Someone who knows a lot about the gaming industry, called “MyTimeToShineH,” said on Twitter that, “Sources confirmed that a Hogwarts Legacy sequel is in the works.” Fans of the first game probably expected this news because the first game was super popular.

The numbers are really impressive! The game Hogwarts Legacy sold a huge 15 million copies and made a whopping $1 billion in money. In just the first two weeks of its release in February 2023, it sold 12 million copies.

This year has been really amazing for the gaming world. There are some big games coming out soon, like Starfield on September 6, and others like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that people really loved.

But the game Hogwarts Legacy did something really special when it came out in February, it broke a lot of records. So, 2023 is turning out to be a great year for video games!

Fans wanted more DLC content for their game, but instead of giving them extra things to do in the game, the people who make the game are thinking about making a whole new game.

Now, we’re wondering what this new game will be like. If they want us to keep playing at Hogwarts for a long time, they’ll probably have to add new things to do and new places to explore in the game to make it fun and interesting.

Because the game did really well and lots of people play games now, it makes sense to make a second one. But to make the people who played the first one happy, Avalanche Software needs to add new stuff to the second game.

Hogwarts Legacy 2 Possible Release Date

If there’s a second Hogwarts Legacy game, it probably won’t come out until at least 2027. We don’t know the exact release date yet, but since it’s going to be a big open-world game, it would be unrealistic to expect it to be finished quickly.
