GTA VI fans are an unusual breed, but I appreciate their devotion to a game about which we know very little, at least officially.
While Rockstar Games has been tight-lipped about everything GTA VI, the massive leak that surfaced online last year has been forensically examined by fans over the previous few months. And the scope of what they’ve discovered is astounding.
Since GTA VI’s leak, fans have started piecing together a map using coordinates gleaned from gameplay. However, not everyone is pleased with how the map is taking shape.
It should be noted that this is not an official map, and it may not even be a reasonable approximation given that it was created using video from an in-development game. However, this hasn’t stopped people from becoming agitated.
“After ten years of development, Vice City is still roughly the same size as Los Santos?” “I really hope this isn’t true and we get a much larger urban area; I’m not sure I understand this sub’s obsession with having two square blocks of city followed by 100 square miles of empty nothingness,” Reddit user pk10534 remarked in response to the alleged new map’s resemblance to GTA V’s. “Yikes, and you thought GTA V had a lot of space,” dubbs911 commented.
It’s worth mentioning that GTA VI may have a world that’s both smaller and denser than GTA V, so even if the next game appears to be approximately the same size as GTA V in terms of pure space, you can bet there’ll be a lot more to see and do. After all, bigger is not always better!
