According to a leak from the gaming industry, GTA 6—the working title for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game being developed by Rockstar Games, most likely for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S—will not only take place in Vice City but also Cuba.
The rumor also states that the game will have time to jump. If anything in this seems familiar, it’s because identical information—or at least versions of it—have been repeated before; unfortunately, most of those repetitions came from questionable sources.
The most recent claim comes from Tyler McVicker, a well-known leaker in the business who is best known for his scoops and leaks involving Valve. McVicker has a track record of accuracy concerning leaks and rumors but has also made several errors.

Furthermore, he isn’t regarded as a reliable source for GTA. In other words, don’t take this information too seriously. It’s been assumed from the beginning that Vice City and its surroundings will be the setting for the game.
However, it has never been made clear whether this refers to only Florida or other states or countries that may be included. Although the Caribbean, in general, and Cuba, in particular, have been mentioned in the past, a continuous map of that region would be enormous.
That being said, if Cuba is included, it will probably have its isolated region in a remote area of the game, much like Guarma did in Red Dead Redemption 2. The temporal jumps further support this.
Rockstar Games has not addressed this rumor in any way as of the time of publication. We don’t foresee this changing for various reasons, but we’ll update the story if it does. Make sure to use caution while waiting.

There are several GTA 6 rumors, but most will prove totally or partially untrue. Further, given the constant changes in game development, even if the information is accurate now, it doesn’t guarantee that it will always be so.
And in this instance, it’s remarkable primarily because Rockstar Games is known for removing a lot of content during development. For example, during Red Dead Redemption 2’s development, hours and hours of content were removed.
