Grand Theft Auto VI, or at least an early build of GTA 6, was leaked online last year. Although it took them a while, Rockstar Games quickly removed the leaks from the Internet.
The GTA 6 leaks from the previous year were seen by everybody and their mother’s pet parakeet. The leaks included confirmation that Vice City, the game’s fictionalized version of Miami and the setting for years prior, was indeed the game’s setting and that it would be returning in this new installment.
However, fans have been able to get a good idea of how big said map is via Rage Engine Units, which makes up for the fact that the actual map was not disclosed in the leaks.
And if this prediction proves to be accurate, the map for GTA 6 will soon be enormous. Even by today’s standards, the map in GTA 5—which is ten years old—is still quite sizable.
In spite of this, once GTA 6 is released, it might appear to be very small. The GTA VI Vice City Mapping Project is a continuous effort to put the GTA 6 map together using the files of the aforementioned leak, which mention a wide range of things, including locations.
This project’s estimation suggests that GTA 6’s map will be significantly larger and utilize the ocean more, which isn’t surprising given that it is set in southern Florida.
Although this map appears enormous, it might not even be the whole picture. The files indicate that the map extends further north than what is shown, as one of the comments notes.
As you may be aware, there are rumors that various locations, including Liberty City (New York City), the Midwest, the Caribbean, and South America, may be involved; however, these locations are not mentioned in the files that were leaked.

“There are countless cities/towns such as York Town, Red Hill, etc found in the files. Most of these locations point towards the north of Port Gelhorn, making the map expand even further north,” reads the disputed comment.
In light of everything stated above, proceed with caution. This estimate is based on files that were leaked. There is no reason to question the veracity of the leak or its files, which together form the basis for the aforementioned Reddit post, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is just conjecture.
