Three forthcoming Fontaine characters are slated to debut early in the region’s cycle, and new information from Genshin Impact provides the first look at their gameplay. The HoYoverse RPG has been aggressively hyped in-game and outside of it regarding the upcoming region.
The game’s in-game mythology and character dialogue have portrayed Fontaine as a highly developed region with better technology than the rest of Teyvat and “justice” as a recurring theme. Players have also had their first glimpse at many of the upcoming characters in the area thanks to leaks.
While the Hydro Archon’s domain has yet to receive any playable characters officially, leaks have made a handful of new characters from Fontaine known. The characters Lyney and Lynette had been long-rumored for the area and were initially introduced in the “Travail” video for Genshin Impact, which hinted at the RPG’s future locales.
Lyney and Lynette, anticipated to debut as five-star and four-star characters, are believed to have elements and rarities. Now, sources reveal the first details about each character’s gameplay, including the alleged Hydro Archon.
The first information regarding Lyney, Lynette, and the hotly rumored Focalors has been disclosed in a new update from Genshin Impact leaker Uncle YC via renowned leaker Tao. Anemo Sword user Lynette is confirmed to be an off-screen assistance character, confirming earlier rumors regarding her element.
Lyney, who takes on the role of a Charged Attack DPS akin to Tighnari and Ganyu, is guaranteed to be the third Pyro Bow character to be added to Genshin Impact. According to rumors, Focalors, known as “Hydro Archon,” would focus on HP and have a “special damage-increasing method.”

Although HoYoverse hasn’t released any concrete information about the three characters, leaks have already begun to make predictions about their appearance. One of the first playable characters from Fontaine, Lynette, is anticipated to debut in Version 4.0.
Lyney and Focalors’ debut dates were not confirmed in the post, despite prior leaks suggesting that Focalors would be playable in Version 4.2. Following the Fontaine update, several other characters, like Mondstadt’s Varka and another Fatui’s Harbinger, are reported to make an appearance.

Although Lyney, Lynette, and Focalors are some of the first Fontaine characters to appear, leaks have revealed much more about the Hydro region. Recent Genshin Impact leaks have begun to provide information regarding the layout of Fontaine, located north of Sumeru and northwest of Liyue.
Given its connection to the Hydro Archon, the area is also expected to contain many water-based puzzles and underwater dynamics. Before Genshin Impact’s anticipated arrival this summer, fans will undoubtedly get even more details regarding the upcoming region.
