A recent leak related to Genshin Impact has unveiled that version 4.1, set to release later this year alongside the Fontaine update, will introduce four new banner characters, including Wriothesley and Hu Tao.
As we approach the Fontaine update for Genshin Impact, it’s no surprise that more early insights regarding upcoming characters and adversaries are circulating online.
However, specific information about the potential banners in version 4.1 has been scarce since several leaks emerged earlier this year. During a special presentation, the developers of Genshin Impact, known as HoYoverse, provided a sneak peek into the upcoming Fontaine update.
This update will bring new artifacts, weapons for the battle pass, and event wishes for characters like Tartaglia, Yelan, and Zhongli. One of the most significant revelations from the live stream is the introduction of underwater areas, which will be explorable landscapes filled with puzzles and formidable enemies.
Notably, oxygen won’t be restricted while navigating these underwater regions, and players can absorb powers from aquatic creatures to enhance their characters.
Below the water’s surface, players will embark on quests for treasures and challenging bosses. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that players can utilize underwater currents to cover vast distances quickly.
An upcoming leak for Genshin Impact shared by an individual known as Uncle YC has brought to light that characters Wriothesley, Venti, Neuvilette, and Hu Tao are expected to be introduced to the game in version 4.1 later this year.
The prominent source of leaks did not provide information regarding the sequence of their appearances, leading to uncertainty about their precise arrival in Teyvat.
While earlier leaks hinted at the possibility of Raiden Shogun receiving a banner in version 4.1, it now appears that Hu Tao might take her place. However, players are advised to treat this leak cautiously until an official confirmation is issued.
Hu Tao from Genshin Impact has gained significant popularity since her introduction two years ago. As a five-star Pyro user, she consistently deals substantial damage and synergizes well with various team compositions due to her versatile moveset.
In contrast, Venti wields a bow and relies on unlocking his Constellations for enhanced offensive capabilities. His adept crowd-control skills empower players to gain an advantage when facing multiple foes in combat.
If the recent leak proves accurate, players will soon have the opportunity to include Venti in their team. Genshin Impact enthusiasts have previously received leaks concerning Wriothesley, a probable Cryo user.
Following his teaser trailer appearance, numerous players on the game’s subreddit pointed out the uncanny resemblance of this enigmatic character to Honkai: Star Rail’s Sampo.
More details about Wriothesley’s weapon type, backstory, and abilities are expected to be unveiled shortly. As for Neuvilette, he is set to make his debut in version 4.0 as part of the Archon Quest.
