Genshin Impact fans are unhappy with how big the new update 4.0 will be. The game usually gets updated every 6 to 7 weeks with new stuff like places to explore, characters to play as, weapons, and quests.
Genshin Impact came out in September 2020, and it’s getting close to its 3rd birthday. In these three years, the people who make the game have regularly put new stuff in it.
Soon, players will get to explore a big new area. Videos and live streams recently showed that the upcoming 4.0 version will finally have the Fontaine region, which players have long waited for.
Adding a new big area is exciting for most Genshin Impact fans. But, many players have a big problem with how much space the game takes up on their devices.
A Reddit user named Kuraku4 has started a conversation about this. They’re upset because the next game update, Genshin Impact 4.0, will use up 32GB of their storage space.
This is a big issue, especially for people who play on their phones. People who play on computers or PlayStations usually have more storage space. Some comments said that on specific devices, the whole game has to be downloaded again each time there’s a new update.
If you want to free up space, it’s a good idea to delete the game and then download it again when a new version comes out. We don’t know exactly how big the Fontaine area will be, but since the last added area, Sumeru, was even larger than Liyue and Mondstadt combined, players can likely expect the Hydro region to be pretty big too.
The videos promoting Fontaine City look like it’s from the future. The city will have many rivers, which makes sense because water is important in that area.
In the new version of the game, there are many new characters you can play as. But for update 4.0, only three new characters, Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet, have been confirmed by HoYoverse.
Even though these three haven’t become playable in the game yet, Genshin Impact said two new characters will come in update 4.1. These characters are named Wriothesley and Neuvillette. They’re supposed to be special and rare in the game.
