A new Fortnite leak has exposed a portion of the game’s upcoming map, which will most likely be included in Chapter 4, Season 3. Dataminers have obtained the leak directly from the game’s files.
A jungle biome will reportedly be added to the free-to-play battle royale game with the upcoming map update, according to the game’s files from a recent update. The specifics of this are still unknown, which is unfortunate.
The information was leaked by the Fortnite data miners “Leaky” and “Shiina,” who spread the word that the game contains a file with the name “AsteriaCustomBiomes_Jungle.” As the latter observes, this appears to be a strong hint that a jungle biome is on the way, most likely during Chapter 4 of Season 3.
Suppose there wasn’t enough confirmation enough. Even though the files do not mention it, it seems unlikely that this is for Season 5 or anything else, given how far away it is.
Shiina shares a tweet:
Today, Epic added a file called "AsteraCustomBiomes_Jungle" to the game files 👀
As if there wasn't enough confirmation already, this seems to be a clear indication that we will have a jungle biome in Chapter 4 – Season 3.

It should be treated cautiously since it was obtained through data mining. Although this is in the game’s files, it might be cut. It symbolizes incomplete content. Thus, at the very least, it could change and develop over time to the point where it exceeds current expectations.

But as for the sources, both have already shown themselves trustworthy data miners. As of the time of publication, Epic Games has not made any comments about the leak or the rumors it has sparked.
We will make sure to update the story if this situation changes. We don’t expect this to change because it typically doesn’t comment on leaks.
