Fortnite Chapter 4: After a minor outage, Season 1 of Fortnite’s fourth chapter has begun today. The latest season of the popular battle royale game features numerous updates, such as a redesigned map, new weaponry, and other game modes.
Also, while those may be the most eye-catching aspects, the Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass also includes two well-known characters from other major gaming franchises. The newest battle pass for Fortnite includes eight new skins for players to acquire.
Geralt of Rivia and Doom Slayer are two of the eight most well-known. For those unfamiliar, Geralt is a character from CD Projekt’s The Witcher series, and his design in Fortnite is based on his appearance in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Therefore, Doom Slayer is the protagonist from id Software’s Doom series, and he or she uses the same model as seen in Doom Eternal. As of this writing, the Doom Slayer skin may be obtained in Fortnite as part of the Season 1 Battle Pass, Chapter 4 rewards.
But Geralt isn’t available to be unlocked just now and won’t be added to the Battle Pass until “later on in the Season.” However, this is not out of the ordinary, as this is the standard method by which Epic Games adds new skins to existing characters in Fortnite.
In addition to Geralt and Doom Slayer, the current Fortnite Battle Pass will allow players to unlock six other characters. Selene, Massai, Dusty, Nezumi, Helsie, and even The Ageless are among these people.
While these are the new characters added to Fortnite with the purchase of the Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass, more skins will be added by Epic Games and made available for purchase in the game’s store in the following weeks and months.
The Latest Battle Pass
It’s no longer a secret which Battle Pass you need to unlock the newest Fortnite content now that Season 1 of the game’s fourth chapter is available. Epic Games has once again teamed up with successful video game series to bring fan favourites like Doom and Geralt of Rivia back into canon.
All Might and Deku of My Hero Academia will also make an appearance. There’s no doubt that the makers of Fortnite have taken into account the cult following that anime enjoys among players. Epic Games has cooperated with a small but promising roster of anime properties, and My Hero Academia will soon be joining them.

The Incredible Hulk may soon be running amok throughout the island, if the teaser for Fortnite Season 4, Chapter 4 is any indication. In any case, the creators have not announced when the character would be included.
New Island and Weapons
After the events of the conclusion of Chapter 3 in Fortnite, a new map emerged for Chapter 4. This is consistent with how Epic Games has historically released new maps. The Citadel, Anvil Square, Brutal Bastion, Frenzy Fields, and other landmarks dot the landscape of the brand-new Island.
The Ageless Champion, the ruler of The Citadel, can be defeated for excellent rewards. The Ex-Caliber rifle, Thunder shotgun, Maven auto shotgun, Red-Eye assault rifle, Twin Mag SMG, Tactical pistol, and Shockwave Hammer are just a few of the new weapons added to Fortnite.
The Shockwave Hammer is a powerful and entertaining tool, capable of both massively launching you forward and dealing area-of-effect damage to your foes.
Gameplay Changes
Modifications to the gameplay in Fortnite’s fourth chapter provide new layers of depth to the overall experience. Smaller impediments have been cleared, and motorcycles are now scattered around the world.
However, there is a new element known as Kinetic Ore that can “pull off physics sorcery” to deal massive damage to your foes. Currently, the function of Kinetic Ore is unknown, but that will change as the season develops.
To discreetly attack your foes, you can also choose to “leap into a gigantic snowball” and roll towards them. Chapter 4 of Fortnite introduces a new feature called Reality Augments, which is arguably the most crucial modification.

In-game, you can choose between two different Reality Augments, each of which provides a unique buff or ability. You will continue to gain Reality Augments as long as you remain alive in a match.
When a match ends, these boosts and skills will also stop. Fortnite will include a total of 22 Reality Augments, some of which are already available:
- Light Fingers – Light Ammo weapons reload faster
- Mechanical Archer – Get a Mechanical Explosive Blow and a Mechanical Shockwave Bow
- Aerialist – Glider redeploy for the remainder of the match
- Supercharged – Vehicles have increased health and don’t consume fuel
- Soaring Sprints – Jump higher and with lower gravity while sprinting
