Unrecord, a bodycam FPS game developed by Drama, has just released its first gameplay video, and it is already causing a stir on social media. Late last year, early Unrecord footage that showed a police officer infiltrating an abandoned building from the perspective of their bodycam went viral.
It attracted comparisons to material found on websites like LiveLeak immediately. Because of this, many viewers found its uncanny reality unsettling. At the time, nothing was known about the game, leaving much to the imagination. But the most recent information clarifies what gamers might anticipate from the tactical first-person shooter game.
Bodycam FPS ‘Unrecord’ Unveils Gripping Gameplay Trailer
Unrecord, a supposedly bodycam first-person shooter that “tells the story of a tactical police officer from the perspective of his body camera,” debuted its first gameplay trailer on April 19 from developer Drama.
Users on Steam can currently wishlist the game. Additionally, the shooter will have dialogue options and difficult moral choices, all of which will be supported by the detective and tactical abilities players need to use when looking into criminal cases.

Gameplay Trailer Sparks Debate on Social Media
Twitter users’ reactions to the trailer mentioned above are conflicting. Several people have praised the striking images and lighting, showing their enthusiasm for the realism on exhibit.
Others, though, question whether it is a “cop simulator.” One person commented, “So the game really is just an unironic copaganda Liveleak simulator?”
Hungrybox shares a tweet:
this is the first time I’ve ever seen graphics from a game that look IDENTICAL to reality 😳
you can tell it’s a video game when the gunfire starts but the first 10 seconds are actually indiscernible from a real life body cam
super clever game design, would love to try it out https://t.co/iV6U4WzwWf

“Was more interested when it wasn’t explicitly a cop game, a horror/post-apocalyptic theme would’ve been better imo,” someone else wrote in the thread.
Many also couldn’t resist making fun of American police practices. Such a reaction has the following phrase: “This ain’t simulating a cop if I can’t turn my body cam off.”
