Final Fantasy XVI will be featured on a State of Play presentation hosted by Sony and Square Enix tonight. More than 20 minutes of upcoming PS5 exclusive gameplay footage have been promised to us, with a purported emphasis on RPG aspects and gaming dynamics.

The protagonists of Final Fantasy 16 are Joshua, a Dominant with Phoenix power, and Clive Rosenfield, a warrior renowned as the First Shield of Rosaria. The events of FF16 sent Clive on a dangerous path of vengeance where the warring factions of Valisthea’s kingdom fought for control of the Mothercrystals.
