Fallout 5 Release Date: It’s safe to assume that Bethesda has plans to develop Fallout 5 (if they haven’t already), but fans won’t have to wait too long for the next entry in the wildly successful series.
Even though it has been over 7 years since the release of Fallout 4 and over 3 years since the debut of Fallout 76, we know the developer has a lot of other projects in the works at the time. The highly anticipated Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 are being worked on concurrently with a new Indiana Jones game.
Bethesda has confessed they have a one-page design paper for Fallout 5, so we know they will get to it eventually. However, except that, what else do we know about Fallout 5? This section contains an in-depth analysis of the present state of affairs.

Fallout 5 Release Date: When Will Fallout 5 Be Available?
Welcome to the land of speculation, where we still don’t know when Fallout 5 will be released. The earliest we can see Fallout 5 coming out is 2024, and that’s being kind.
After our prior reports, Bethesda officially announced that they are working on Fallout 5. (in some sort of capacity). As part of an interview with IGN published in November 2021, Todd Howard addressed the studio’s “one-pager on Fallout 5” ideas.
Howard continued on the very vague comments, saying, “I’d want to find a way to accelerate what we do, but I can’t really say today or commit to anything, what’s going to happen [or] when.”
On Which Systems Will It Be Accessible?
In addition to the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation versions of Fallout 4, a standalone VR edition was released for the HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, and Valve Index.
How long this variety of platforms lasts is anyone’s guess, but if Fallout 5 follows in the footsteps of Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6, it will debut on Game Pass, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Developing Fallout 5 So Far
Fallout 5’s director and executive producer, Todd Howard, has said that Bethesda is working on a “one-pager” for the game, but that it won’t be complete until late 2021. Even though it was short, it was enough to have fans of the franchise excited about the potential setting, plot, and gameplay of Fallout 5.
As Howard said to IGN during an interview at E3 2022, the studio’s schedule is “quite crowded;” they are now in pre-production on Elder Scrolls 6, and will then begin development on Fallout 5.
Although developing these games requires significant effort, we do periodically consider alternative possibilities. We’re doing everything in our power to get them to you as quickly as possible, but we can’t let them go out unless they’re absolutely flawless.
Possible Natural And Social Context
The location of Fallout 5 has not been revealed, although previous games have taken place in America. Fallout 3 was set in Washington, while Fallout 4 will be situated in Boston. The Commonwealth of West Virginia was the location for the player’s return to the South in Fallout 76. All other recent games have been set on the east coast, with only Fallout: New Vegas and the first two Fallout games taking place in the west.
So, what should we do next? The most secure option is to remain in the eastern U.S. There are certain locations where the likelihood of this happening is higher than in others.
The Big Easy
There was a trademark application for “Fallout New Orleans” in 2016. Given that we’ve previously traveled throughout the southern United States in downloadable content like Point Lookout for Fallout 3 and Far Harbor for Fallout 4, this is not completely out of the question.
Chicago
The city of Chicago was the setting for Fallout Tactics, a real-time turn-based tactical role-playing game. There seems to be some unfinished business in the Windy City if the Chicago outposts ED-E cites in New Vegas are legitimate.
Alaska
In the next episode, will the Fallout affect events from the past, or will they take place in the present? How did we end ourselves back in 2077? During Operation Anchorage, we were in a similar situation (the first DLC in Fallout 3).
Apart From That?
We may not be going in the direction you believe we are. Is it finally time for you to go abroad? Perhaps we might go to China or Russia to get a different perspective on the story. It’s probably reasonable to predict that many people will want to visit European countries.
Fallout 5: Solo Mode
At least for the time being, fans can be certain that Bethesda games won’t all be heavily focused on online multiplayer. In an interview with German gaming website GameStar, Todd Howard was asked whether all next Bethesda products will include multiplayer. “For certain games, we want to maintain them as single-player,” Howard responded. We plan to make it a priority moving forward.
The affiliates who contribute to the sales via Network N get a cut of the profits. Although Howard did say they may have some social components or integrations they have yet to come up with, it looks that Fallout 5 will be centered on the single-player experience.

An Existing Point Of View
Both Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 broke sales records, so it’s safe to say that Bethesda Game Studio is no slouch when it comes to making Fallout video games. This means that the Fallout universe will soon be joined by yet another horrible beast.
