EA is once again supporting Codemasters in bringing the racing simulation to consoles and PCs as the racing season is back for another year. But when and what will be available in the F1 game this year?
Before the game is set to be released this year, Codemasters is finalizing all the information and gameplay elements listed below. As they become available, we will also feature gameplay videos, highlight new game modes, and cover any leaks that might occur before F1 23 is officially launched.
F1 23 Release Date: Will It Be Available on Previous-gen Consoles?
In keeping with the cadence and release schedule the series has been on for a few years at this point, F1 23 will debut sometime in July 2023. We may anticipate it to be released on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC even if the platforms haven’t been mentioned.
However, a release from the previous generation is in doubt. When it was first teased in March 2023, F1 23 was described as a “fresh start for the series.”

The franchise may be getting some significant changes as a result, which could make it challenging to run the game on PS4 and Xbox One. To be certain, we must wait for complete disclosure.
F1 23 Gameplay
Since F1 23 hasn’t been formally announced, we haven’t seen any gameplay or trailers for it. However, as this is the first F1 game that has been completely produced while Codemasters has been a part of EA, we will probably see a lot of improvements and upgrades as the series gets a fresh start this year. As we update this article over the next few months, keep an eye out for more gaming information there.

Will F1 23 Have a New Engine?
On current-gen consoles, the F1 series appears and feels stale because F1 2021 and F1 22 share the same engine as F1 2015. Apparently, Codemasters is updating F1 23 with a long-needed engine upgrade and expanding F1 Life with a new F1 World mode, according to a rumor from industry insider Tom Henderson.
