Bandai Namco has just published some player statistics for your perusal, including the unavoidable death tolls, in honor of Elden Ring’s one-year anniversary. Publisher not only reveals the most well-liked bosses, spells, and incantations, but also the number of times players died due to various causes.
How Many Times Did Players Die in Elden Ring?
Over 9 billion deaths have been recorded by players in the game’s nearly 13-month lifespan. The death statistics show that over 6.2 billion deaths were caused by enemies and non-player characters, while only about 180 million were caused by another Elden Ring player.
In addition, 1.35 billion players perished from status effects like poison, scarlet rot, blood loss, frostbite, sleep, madness, and death blight. This resulted in roughly 1.26 billion players dying from falling to their deaths.
Zullie shares a tweet about this:
An odd little slice of Souls history was the Dark Souls II "Beyond the Bonfire" site, an official site run by Bandai Namco that reported stats about the playerbase, like how and where players were dying the most. It would have been fun for Elden Ring to have something like this. pic.twitter.com/TM4AXyYI6z
