EA Sports are teasing a new baseball video game. The most popular gaming genre includes games in the sports category. Even though they don’t alter significantly from one year to the next, they appeal to a reasonably casual audience, are simple to understand, and have a very entertaining gameplay cycle.
Only a small number of publishers, though, are familiar with the genre. Sony managed to scare everyone else away with its MLB games, although 2K and EA once dabbled in baseball.
EA Sports has ruled with football and soccer, and 2K has a stranglehold on basketball, wrestling, and, most recently, golf. So far, EA Sports is interested in returning to the sport.

Super Mega Baseball, a series that leans much more toward arcade play than MLB The Show, was created by the company EA recently acquired. EA and Metalhead Software have been collaborating closely ever since to break into the baseball-themed sports category.
We don’t know precisely how that will appear, but we will find out soon. Super Mega Baseball 4 will reportedly debut on May 2nd, and the devs recently used Reddit to provide some details about how the game will play under EA.

The team stated that despite EA’s support and advocacy of the developer’s vision for the brand, due to the publisher’s substantial financial capabilities, they were able to create something even bigger and better.
Additionally, they have stated that they have no plans to monetize in-game, something EA has come under fire for doing in other franchises. Below, you can read the entire Reddit post.
Super Mega Baseball 4 continues to serve as an arcade-style opposition to MLB The Show. Of course, given Sony dominates that market, competing with them wouldn’t make much sense. However, it is yet to be seen how a game like this will play out with EA’s backing.
