During Rubicon 2022, publishers Bandai Namco and studio HYDE presented new gameplay footage for Digimon Survive.
The clip shows Takuma Momozuka’s Agumon first digivolves into Greymon during a battle against Dokugumon.
Digimon Survive will be released on July 29 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.
Making games is difficult, especially given the events of the last two years. As a result, several games were understandably delayed as creators fought to get into offices, which is great. But when we say we need Digimon Survive in our life, we mean it. We’re just hoping it doesn’t get delayed again.
This activity spin on the horror franchise looks fantastic, which is why we’ve been so broken-hearted to see it continuously get delayed, and its release date pushed further down the line. Bandai Namco previously launched Digimon Survive back in 2018, and it was likely in advancement for many years before that. So, when will Digimon Survive be released?
There is, however, a ray of optimism. It’s been a few years, and it’s finally starting to look like it’ll be a genuine game that we’ll be able to play on our Nintendo Switch shortly. Are DIGIMON SURVIVE and SWITCH coming together?
Digimon Survive is set to release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, because Bandai Namco announced the game in 2018, it may switch to newer hardware amid the game’s several delays. We won’t know for sure until we have more information, so for now, just the platforms listed above are confirmed.

On July 28, the game will be released in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. On July 29, it will be released internationally for the PlayStation 4, #NintendoSwitch, Xbox One, and PC.
It was originally announced that the game would be released this year for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo, and Windows for PC. The Ps5 and Xbox Project X|S consoles will also support the game.
The game was supposed to be released in the West in 2019, however, it was pushed back to 2020. The game was then postponed from 2020 to 2021 “because of the impacts of present events,” before being pushed back to this year.
Takuma Momosuka is abruptly transferred to a perilous other realm filled with vicious animals in the game’s plot. Takuma is in his second year of junior high school, and Agumon is his companion.
Conversational areas of the game will be made to look like manga scenes and will have 2D graphics. The players’ choices will have an impact on the story’s advancement and evolution during the war. During the game’s exploration parts, the plot’s keys are dispersed across the area, and players will investigate several points of interest. Players will engage in Digimon combat on grid-based fields, similar to those found in strategy games, in the game’s battle parts. Actions will consume energy, and players will need to manage their usage to win.
In a December 2017 interview, Bandai Namco Entertainment producer Kazumasa Habu indicated that a new Digimon Story game for PS4 was in the works. Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory, the most recent game in the series, was released in Japan in December 2017 and the United States in January 2018. The game can be played for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, with the PS Vita version being based on the earlier Digimon Stories Cyber Sleuth game.
