Diablo Immortal Battle Pass Issue Costs Players Millions of XP: Players have reported losing millions of experience points due to a fault in Diablo Immortal, despite a hotfix published by Blizzard to solve the problem.
On July 23, a Reddit post by a Blizzard community lead was discovered by PCGamesN.
The article acknowledged a bug that prevents players from earning experience points for completing certain Battle Pass objectives.

The team “is going through to calculate each individual lost XP during the time periods affected by this error,” they noted after a hotfix was released to fix the issue.

After the Battle Pass XP glitch was “hot patched,” a community manager posted about it, as Reddit user The-Crawling-Chaos noted on July 25.
After the weekly reset, I was unable to get any experience points for advancing in my Battle Pass.
I’ve reached at least the third level without receiving any experience points.
It is really sad that Blizzard has not yet fixed this game-breaking bug (or any of the other game-breaking bugs, for that matter).
“I can corroborate this,” mdkubit of Reddit remarked. After today’s reset, “the XP animation occurred but the XP bar did not grow at all when I performed bounties and finished a Battle Pass Rank.”

“It’s been a well-recognized issue by all the community now for the last few days that the battle Pass is occasionally not awarding XP Reward after lvl ups,” user BigBad posted on the Blizzard forums.

Six times in the past few days, I have not received XP Rewards, amounting to about 5,000,000 XP lost.

Similarly, user Rid1987 of Reddit said he lost 3 million XP last week and 2 million XP this week.
On July 7, Blizzard released the newest Battle Pass for Diablo Immortal along with the second season of the game.
The Bloodsworn Battle Pass, available for free during Season 2, features 40 ranks of challenges and rewards such as Legendary Gems, Crests, and Hilts.
Players can also choose to upgrade to the Empowered Battle Pass or the Collector’s Empowered Battle Pass, both of which cost real money.
As of July 23, Blizzard said that over 20 million copies of Diablo Immortal have been downloaded, up from the 10 million when the free-to-play game was first made available on June 10.
After a month of delays, Diablo Immortal officially opened in China on Monday, and the game’s player count is expected to increase once more.
