Following its initial significant update, Deceive Inc. is receiving a free-to-play weekend. A recent independent game called Deceive Inc. might not be on your radar, but it offers an interesting premise. You take on the role of a spy charged with accomplishing various tasks and must use multiple absurd devices.
But this is not a straightforward single-player game. You’ll be in a race against other gamers who share your goals and are spies. That implies you must be cunning, blend in, and use your tricks to succeed.
After all of that, if it interests you, you may play a free-to-play trial of Deceive Inc. this weekend on Steam. There is also a limited-time deal of 20% off on all platforms, including Xbox and PlayStation, if you’re not on Steam but are still interested in joining the fun.

All of this comes after the game’s first significant update, which added a new Agent, mechanics, and improvements to a few of the game’s existing systems. You may see every detail in the section below:
- Catalog System: Introducing the ‘Catalog System,’ a user-friendly replacement for conventional Battle Pass systems from Sweet Bandits Studios. With the release of the Misery Empire update, users can use Catalog coins—earned from playing DECEIVE INC.—or Bonds—the in-game premium currency—to unlock the new agent, Red, and other excellent cosmetics. You may find more information on using the new Catalog System here.
- Red New Agent: The sly spy’s versatility introduces a brand-new status effect called Charmed. Spies who have been charmed are sent back into cover and acquire the status effect, slowing and neutralizing them. When spies use their weapons while delighted, they get heartbroken, eliminating the sluggish effect but making them more susceptible. Red can be unlocked immediately for 1500 DI Credits earned while playing DECEIVE INC. Players can instantly unlock Red if they buy the premium seasonal catalog.
- A new HEATING system: Deceive Inc. has implemented this approach to prevent needless civilian injury, limit collateral damage, and improve operational standards. Agents who mistake civilians for enemy agents too frequently will be punished with increased susceptibility and extra damage. Over time, players’ HEAT levels will also decline.
- TEAM Intel Update: Team Intel will be made public following player input and developer inquiry. This update aims to slow down speed-running tactics, encourage teams to split up strategically to gather intelligence, and increase the value of keycard acquisition in team games.
- TEAM Revives Update: In contrast to the previous system, which only allowed players to recover a teammate once every game, the new system upgrade now permits downed spies to be revived by teammates up to three times with escalating health penalties. Players can battle harder and help their squad in the future.
- Fresh looks: If you can’t look beautiful while completing the task, what’s the point? With a large selection of stylish new agent skins currently offered via the Catalog System, players may look forward to leveling up their aesthetics.
