Cursed To Golf: Play the role of The Cursed Golfer, a golfer who is cursed to spend eternity in Golf Purgatory after a rare accident renders them unable to take the shot that would win them an international competition. According to urban legend, if you play your way through all of Golf Purgatory’s tricky holes, you will be able to return to the world of the living and, more importantly, claim the trophy you were so close to claiming.
You will be guided through the magical mysteries of golf by a spectral Legendary Caddie, who watches over each hole and will help you on your journey to find redemption and revitalization. A new spin on both the golfing and roguelike subgenres is brought to the table by Cursed to Golf.
If you don’t manage to go past a hole in the allotted amount of strokes, your curse will send you back to the beginning of the course. These courses not only feature bunkers and rough sections, but they are also stuffed to the brim with crazy obstacles such as high-powered fans, spikes, TNT boxes, teleporters, and a whole lot of other obstacles.

Cursed To Golf
This increases the difficulty of the courses. This perverted take on the traditional game makes everything seem like it should be expected. Even though you’ll spend all of eternity in Golf Purgatory being forced to play golf, the curse does have its upsides. Make use of Birdie-Eye to get a bird’s-eye view of the entire course and to get an idea of the challenges that are still to come.
Are we getting low on the par count? Fortunately, gold and silver are plentiful. Shot Idols can be found strewn about the holes; destroying them with a dramatic flourish will restock your supply of shots. Your supernatural powers will be channeled through the Ace Cards to change the odds in your favor, allowing you to manipulate the game in incredible ways.
You have more than 20 cards in your sleeve to help shift the tide in your favor, and some of them, like Scattershot and U-Turn and Rocketball and Mulligans, are already in play! Every attempt should be counted!

Gameplay
The player, who was a professional golfer who was murdered by lightning shortly before the finish of the competition, is condemned to Golf Purgatory, where they are greeted by a gigantic spirit who goes by the name The Scotsman.
The Scotsman explains to them that in order to be revived, they have to finish a course that consists of eighteen holes, but they will perish if they take more than the allotted number of strokes on any one of the holes, and they will have to start over from the very beginning. The holes, which are chosen at random from a pool of roughly seventy predesigned levels, are viewed in a two-dimensional side-scrolling viewpoint and constitute thematic biomes, each of which contains unique characteristics and challenges.
In addition, “cursed” holes, which are often optional but can sometimes provide the player with a handicap, do so in a number of different ways. For instance, they may momentarily restrict the player’s ability to aim in a certain direction. There are also boss battles at the end of each biome, in which players compete against an opponent.
These boss bouts contain unique monuments that, when destroyed, paralyze the opponent. The Scotsman, The Explorer, and The Forgotten are the three bosses in this dungeon. The player can choose from three different clubs—a driver, an iron, and a wedge—and shoots each shot by timing button presses to set the amount of power and the direction the shot will take. While the player is shooting, a moving arc that shows the ball’s flight path is presented on the screen.
The player also has the ability to adjust the power of their shot at this time, which enables them to precisely avoid obstructions. The player begins each hole with five shots available, but they have the opportunity to earn more by destroying golden and silver statues, which award four and two additional shots, respectively. The player can additionally spin the ball after it lands in order to make a very minor adjustment to the ball’s trajectory.
In addition, the player can get temporary enhancements or skills by purchasing one-time-use Ace Cards, which are awarded after completing cursed levels and can also be purchased from shops with the money earned through having an abundance of shots. A U-Turn card and a mulligan are two examples of the types of cards that can be used in the game. Both of these cards allow players to re-aim the ball while it is in midair.
When a player dies, they lose all of their cash and Ace Cards (unless they have kept them in a shop), but they are awarded permanent rewards from the bosses and do not have to face them again. The game is classified as a roguelike due to the fact that it features a death mechanism that results in a permanent game over, a high degree of unpredictability due to the wide range of holes, and incentives for vanquishing bosses.
