The addition of crossplay in online games in recent years has been a fantastic feature. It has bridged the gap between players and lets everyone on any platform connect with their pals online. It has prevented groups from being cut off from one another when one person is playing on Xbox, and another is playing on PlayStation.
With the debut of Chivalry 2 on Xbox Game Pass, everyone’s attention is focused on the presence of crossplay. Unfortunately, while there is some crossplay in the game, it is not as straightforward as you might expect. Here’s everything you need to know about Chivalry 2 crossplay.
Is Chivalry 2 Crossplay?
The quick answer is yes, although, as previously stated, it is not as easy as other games. While developer Torn Banner has integrated crossplay to lessen match wait times, you cannot presently join up with your pals on different platforms and hop online.
Chivalry 2 does, however, offer cross-generation multiplayer across the Xbox environment but not the PlayStation. Torn Banner has acknowledged that players are yearning for a means to party up and use crossplay and has promised a future implementation, as well as cross-generation parties on PlayStation.
A response re: cross-platform parties and console server browser->
During the Chivalry 2 Closed Beta (April 23-27) it became clear to us that cross-platform parties was something players deeply wanted that wasn’t currently on our development schedule for launch.— Chivalry 2 (@ChivalryGame) May 28, 2021
A roadmap is accessible on the official Chivalry 2 Trello Board, although no dates for cross-platform parties or cross-generation compatibility on PlayStation have been confirmed as of this writing.
While this is disappointing, there is still a solution for anyone who wishes to enjoy crossplay on Chivalry 2.

How To Play Chivalry 2 Crossplay?
One of the Chivalry 2 post-launch updates added the option to access the server browser on consoles. This means you can work with the other players in your group to locate a match for you all to join.
It’s easy to use and allows you to search for the desired game mode, region, and number of places on the server. It’s not the most optimal method to party, but it’s a suitable workaround until a native solution is created.
If you’re still having trouble understanding how to utilize the server browser, here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Start Chivalry 2.
- Press the Play button.
- Choose Standalone Servers.
- Select the server you want to join from the browser screen and share the name and map with your friends.
- You may also use the filters to hide whole servers and those that are password-protected.
- Furthermore, by selecting Advanced Filters, you can manually search for the server you’re looking for.
As previously stated, it is not the best option to match up with friends on platforms, but once in a server, you can quickly transfer sides and will remain in the same game at the end of each round.
