One of the most recent camo additions from the Trophy Hunt Camo Challenges has been animated in the most recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 update.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded included them, however, it appears that Infinity Ward has altered its mind about their retroactive inclusion. The Call of Duty series has always placed a premium on earning weapon camos, and Modern Warfare 2 is no exception.
Players appear to be able to finish the challenges much more quickly than the developer can add them, therefore Infinity Ward has continued to introduce new challenges to the game throughout the past few months. This one is considerably more distinctive because not all of them are animated.
HoppyTaco, a Redditor, noted that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Green Tea Camo is now animated on weapons like the FJX Imperium and the Vaznev-9K. Even though updating a camo after it has been launched is obviously out of the ordinary, animated camos were already a feature of the game.
In the case that skin receives a cool upgrade in the future, it will be fascinating to watch if this practice spreads because it may encourage gamers to finish challenges before they expire.
HoppyTaco, a Redditor shares a post:
Players in the discussion expressed dissatisfaction over not being informed that the camouflage will truly be animated. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s camo challenge was avoided by many players, and as a result, they are no longer able to complete it in-game.
Others declared they would never again miss a camouflage event, just in case Infinity Ward changes its appearance of it after the original release. Even said, these were a very small minority of gamers that were unhappy with the alteration itself.

It will be interesting to see how the Call of Duty series develops in the future. Many people will be shocked that Activision chose to move forward in this way while Modern Warfare 2 is still so fresh, especially now that it has been revealed that the upcoming game will be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
A new Call of Duty game every year is expected, but a new Modern Warfare game might be considered premature at this time. Whether the choice pays off will depend on how much substance the new title has when it is released.
