Fans of Bloodborne have something to look forward to, though it may not be what they expect. One of the developers behind the PSX-style Bloodborne de-make, Lilith Walker, or PSX Bunlith (@b0tster) on X/Twitter, has been hyping Bloodborne Kart, another fan project set in Yarnham with graphics inspired by the original PlayStation, for some time now.
Bloodborne Kart Sets Release Date
It now has a release date: January 31, 2024. Bloodborne Kart, which was first unveiled in early 2022, began as a meme in the Bloodborne and Soulsborne fan circles in 2017 and quickly gained fire as fans intrigued with the concept of having a kart racer for a FromSoft game went as far as creating art and mods on the subject.

And now they’re on their way to racing around Yarnham in a go-kart. The announcement, published in a post on X/Twitter, outlines some of the features that gamers can look forward to, including 12 racers, 16 levels, boss fights, a campaign, a battle mode, and split-screen multiplayer.
It also includes a gameplay trailer that showcases some of these modes. Despite widespread criticism, PlayStation Studios has failed to offer improved ports or new versions of Bloodborne on the PlayStation 5 or PC, as they have for other first-party titles such as The Last Of Us Part 1 and God of War (2018).
There’s no sign that FromSoft’s PlayStation partnership will ever see another official release so that soulsborne lovers can relax.
Bloodborne Kart Trailer
Bloodborne Kart will include 12 racers and 16 maps, as well as its single-player narrative mode. Of course, the main thrill in any kart racer comes from competing against friends, and Bloodborne Kart’s local split-screen multiplayer option tries to provide just that.
The fan-made game uses the same art style that propelled Bloodborne PS1 Demake to worldwide fame. The trailer depicts race tracks based on the districts of Yharnam from the original game, with the player hunter competing against Father Gascoigne, Lady Maria, Mergo, and other foes.
“Bloodborne Kart is an unofficial fan game made by the community,” according to the game’s official website. “Race through the streets of Yharnam and beyond with a wide array of vehicles, ranging from traditional karts to motorcycles to wheelchairs!”
Bloodborne is currently available on both the PS4 and the PS5, thanks to backward compatibility. While Sony has never confirmed a sequel or remake, several rumors over the years have suggested that developer Bluepoint Games is developing a new franchise entry.
While these rumors have yet to be confirmed, Bluepoint’s work on the PS5 remake of Demon’s Souls (2020) makes them a likely candidate for a Bloodborne-related project.
