Battlefield 2042 Maps: Over the last several months since Battlefield 2042’s release, teams have been jumping into massive-scale battles with dozens of players, stealing vehicles, setting off explosives, and shooting their way out of difficulties.
Twenty-42 has a few unique multiplayer choices, and they’re separated into three main playlists. All Out Warfare has a few modes that series regulars will recognize. High-stakes, team-based competition may also be found in Hazard Zone. While doing so, players have access to a variety of tools in Portal’s creative hub to let them create their own unique adventures.

Battlefield 2042‘s first announced comeback was the classic Conquest mode. Popular with fans ever since its debut over two decades ago, this element has become indispensable to the series. Players compete for control of a limited number of Control Points in this fast-paced but accessible game mode.
These Control Points are often separated by great distances, making it such that players can only concentrate on a single goal at a time.
War on War: Major Advance
It’s clear that in 2042, like in previous versions, breakthroughs will be a major theme. The lobby is now divided into an assaulting side and a defensive side for the returning Battlefield game. As previously, the attacking team must complete a series of objectives before moving on to the next zone.
Taking a more competitive approach to the explosive concept, Hazard Zone is the second main multiplayer experience in 2042. New to the series, this mode places an emphasis on teamwork and strategy.
With a new objective in mind, teams of four are dumped onto any of the All Out Warfare maps. In Hazard Zone, the goal is not to rack up kills but rather to locate and recover Data Drives. Successful extractors with the most Data Drives are awarded Dark Market Credits.
Battlefield Portal was finally shown to the public at EA Play Live after weeks of rumors. The fresh adventure is in fact a DIY endeavor that lets gamers of any platform create their own game types.
Portal seems to include a number of basic settings that are tailored for speedier production. However, for those who want more control over every aspect of their experience, Portal has a far more sophisticated logic editor.
By using Portal, gamers of four distinct Battlefield titles will have access to a unified library of construction materials. You may play with all of the stuff from 2042, as well as several levels, weaponry, and vehicles from 1942, Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3.
Every Single One Of The Battlefield 2042 Maps
There were seven brand new maps available for Battlefield 2042 at launch. All of these zones may be explored in both All Out Warfare and Hazard Zone, and they can also be included in Portal’s custom game mode.
At first, 128 players were dumped into the newest maps from the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC lobbies. Players on PS4 and Xbox One battle against one another in 64-player lobbies using the same maps scaled down for the previous generation.
Kaleidoscope
The first of them is Kaleidoscope, a brightly colored map of war-torn South Korea. The area is dominated by skyscrapers, which crowd around a central, narrow lake. As is customary in a Battlefield setting, players may climb these massive structures to get access to the different amphibious vehicles that have been strategically placed on each side of the sea.
Keep an eye out since devastating tornadoes may hit this area at any moment. Your whole team might be wiped out if the tornado carries a flying vehicle.
Battlefield 2042’s Manifest Manifest is a gloomy map set on Singapore’s Brani Island at night. Here, a massive container yard serves as the setting, with players navigating open expanses and narrow passageways. And since this is no ordinary battlefield, cranes will even be picking up and repositioning containers for you while you do battle.
Orbital
The whole setting of Orbital is based on a rocket launch pad in French Guiana, making it one of the most distinctive locations in Battlefield 2042.
Teams Are Naturally Vying For Command Of The Rocket
However, there are many potential outcomes. The ever-changing setting may allow for a risk-free rocket launch, but it also has the potential to backfire catastrophically, causing widespread damage.
Discarded
Discarded takes place in India and involves a conflict between rival groups for control of nuclear weapons. The shifting sea levels seen here are close to a shoreline where a number of ships have been left to rust and eventually be broken up for scrap.
Battlefield 2042’s Renewal map stands out for its striking design. There is a full divide at this site, which may be found in the Egyptian desert. There is a lush area on one side of the map, and a dry, desolate one on the other, separated by a large wall.
There are a number of buildings and other amenities strewn throughout, but the two sides are quite different in terms of their potential for conflict.
Hourglass
The city of Hourglass is called a “lost in the sand.” Among the largest maps in Battlefield 2042, this one will see players advancing through a range of environments, from a packed stadium to a fleet of ships.
Though sometimes difficult to make out, the metropolis of Qatar may be seen in the distance. Sandstorms may develop at any time during a match, making it impossible to see.
Breakaway
Breakaway was the last map added to All Out Warfare before its release. This map is the largest in 2042, and it is the only one that takes place in Antarctica. The battlefield is a snowy slope, and players are spread out over many levels.
Exposure
The first new map to be released after the game’s first release, Exposure is a massive mountain range that players will explore for themselves in Season 1. It’s business as usual, with players able to fly low over the terrain in a jet or drive slowly over it in a truck.
While the bulk of the map features outside to play, there are a few safe havens constructed inside the mountainside.
Portal 2 Has Six Returning Battlefield Maps
Seven of 2042’s All-Out Warfare maps were completely original creations, bringing the grand total to 13 when remastered versions of the original Battlefield maps are also included.
By 2042, Battlefield fans will have access to six of their favorite maps from the series’ history, all of which were recreated thanks to Battlefield Portal. All six returned maps are detailed down below.
- Fighting in the Bulge (BF 1942)
- In the Battle of El Alamein (BF 1942)
- Place de Port d’Arc (Bad Company 2)
- Valparaiso (Bad Company 2) (Bad Company 2)
- Caspian Sea Boundary (Battlefield 3)
- Channels of Noshahr (Battlefield 3)
